MINKPINK

My latest fad are MinkPink clothes. They're totally trendy, original, good-quality and most importantly affordable clothes. Check out this winter's campaign featuring the one-and-only Zippora Seven.

fangs

I'm reading Twilight again which got me thinking about this picture that I had on the computer. Lara Stone would make an epic vampiress don't you think? And I mean that as the highest compliment really.

this model's name is Alyona Osmanova

and I am sooooo digging that Azzedine Alaia belt! I think I fell in love with it the moment I saw it cinched up on Ashley Olsen.

what an interesting name...and I love portrait shots such as these...

Model: Magalie Daignault.
And I thought that my name was interesting...
I know that my posts are getting more random-er by the minute but bear with me. Not having internet and being in holiday-mode for the rest of this year is making me feel way too laid back for anything more.

random and interesting

I hope you're having a good Wednesday.

Isabel Marant Fall R/W '09

I think that it's pretty unbelievably fantastic that designer Isabel Marant manages to cook up collection after collection composed of totally laid-back, totally French and totally can-walk-right-off-the-runway clothes. She's a genius.
I love her.

think again

"The greatest fiction in perfume- the single most important gimmick that marketers use to sell it to you- is the idea that a perfume is either for women or men...

...Why should this be only for women? For that matter, why should it be only for men? These are beautiful scents. If you like them, wear them for their beauty. Simple." - Chandler Burr (acclaimed fragrance writer)

Now I'm thinking twice about who I give my Chanel No. 5 to, I always thought that it smelled a bit masculine...

Karla Spetic

'Knotted goodness' is probably what I'd call Croatian-born Australian designer Karla Spetic's latest A/W 09 collection but since she's already named it 'Polar', let's leave it at that. My favourite piece has got to be the sky-blue high-waisted skirt because frills NEED to be vertical my friend, to be different. The knotted dresses are total beauties. I can't believe I'm saying this but even the leggings look wearable and dare I say even better than the Sass & Bide ruched ones. Don't even get me started on how good those grey, ribbed socks look. I'm looking for a pair right now, looking seriously hard.

Shakuhachi

I always appreciate a good graphic design of some sort whether it's on a tee shirt or in the form of a film (Star Wars!) I'm always up for a little bit of visual enticement and when I see a well designed website, I just squeal. I was flipping through this month's issue of Australian Harper's Bazaar (I think?) when I saw an absolutely delicious, black, bejeweled shirt-dress that automatically required some furious web searching once I was back home. Ta da! I give you Shakuhachi! Go for it and click away!

this is the one look that I love and hate to do

I love this cat eye effect that you can make with black eyeliner all over the eye but I can't do it on myself without looking like someone punched me in both eyes. I reckon it all comes down to a small proportion between the eyebrow and eye that gives the overall effect(think Catherine McNeil and Jessica Stam) besides the obvious fact that a make-up artist would do the trick. If it's genetics then I'm at a total loss but I can't help but love this sultry, sexy look and coupled with black lace. I die! Source: Nicholas Routzen

Jardin du Luxembourg

One of the best things about having a friend living in Paris is that I can badger her for heaps of pictures to somewhat appease my curiosity and love for this glorious city. Below are pictures of some park benches in the Jardin du Luxembourg (yes, even the benches in France are chic people). Last of all, the famous Louvre and the pyramids. Sigh...sigh....sighing of frustration here.
