I picked up the Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector's Makeup Case ($84) when I was up in Sydney last week. Thought it would be a good kit to take around when I travel and the Pucci-esque case is so cute! I'm still experimenting with it at the moment but have you guys used Tarte products before?
Source: my own Went for a walk in my neighborhood today and stumbled upon this glorious sight. The photo doesn't do it any justice. You just have to see the real thing.
Hey
guys, it's been awhile I know. I feel like I've been in limbo for the
majority of this year. I moved to Wagga for an extended period of time but
thankfully I'm back home now. Hopefully more permanently... Source: my own
I ordered some Colourpop cosmetics from the US and it's finally here, I felt like the shipping took absolutely ages! Has anybody tried Colourpop? Do you guys want a haul?
Source: my own The reason why I have been so AWOL this past month and before..... Hello world, meet Sunny. She is the cutest baby and new love of my life!
So it's actually been a while since I went to Sydney and bought these products in Sephora. Usually madness ensues and I come out significantly less wealthy because overseas make-up products are preeeeety pricey in Australia. But I really wanted to try these hyped beauty products and here are my mini reviews:
1. Bite Beauty Agave lip mask in Champagne. Would I re-purchase again? YES. Beautiful sheen and moisturizing lip balm that you can use as an overnight mask and as a bronzed lip look for daytime.
2. Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony Would I re-purchase again? NO. Love how thin and tiny the pencil is but much too expensive a product for something that is not even 1 gram. 3. Becca Shimmering skin perfector in Opal Would I re-purchase again? YES. A tiny bit goes a LOOOOOONG way with this stuff. Too much and it shows your pores. 4. Amika leave in cream for hair Would I re-purchase again? NO. Smells lovely and fragrant but I want to try other hair masks. 5. Bite Beauty Matte creme lip crayon in Sucre. Would I re-purchase again? YES. Very moisturizing but doesn't have extra-long staying power. Needs touch-ups throughout the day but worth the non-drying formulation.
Source: my own It was my birthday yesterday!!! Took a snap of some of my birthday presents. I got: Neutrogena deep clean revitalising pink grapefruit foam cleanser, L'Oreal Color Riche lipsticks in 370 & 378, Revlon Lash Potion mascara andL'Oreal nailpolishes in 102 & 201. :)
Source: my instagram (@fashion_tidbits) When I was up in Sydney I had to go to the new Sephora store on Pitt Street! It was kind of nuts in there because there were soooo many people. Truth be told, it wasn't the most pleasant shopping experience. I felt like I grabbed a bunch of stuff and was waiting in the check-out line for a long while. I made sure to pick up a few Sephora brand products: lip liner in Real Red, Universal waterproof lip liner, Color Lip Last 10 hr wear lipstick in Blooming Rose and an eye shadow in Morning Mocha (which I plan to use for my brows). I also picked up Benefit's Bronze 'n' Dandy kit that includes a mini Hoola bronzing powder, Dandelion brightening powder and lip glosses.
Source: my own Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Maximum Coverage Concealer in Light 02. A long name for such a itty-bitty pot of concealer. But seriously, it's the cutest compact with a mirror that I have ever used.
Source: my own I'm going through my pictures of sunny Sydney right now while baking a banana cake from scratch. I want to be sunbathing on Manly Beach. Rainy days just stink.

Spring is finally here! My hay fever is driving me nuts nowadays but to usher in the warmer season I recently purchased this new shimmery dry oil that I have been wanting to try out for ages. It's so pretty and you can apply it on the face, body and hair!
Source: my own 1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ 2. Skin Doctors Youth cell youth activating eye cream 3. Nude by nature oil 4. Maybelline lipstick in 615 (Summer sunset) 5. Sally Hansen nail polish in Shore Enough 6. NYX Eyebrow cake powder in dark brown/ brown I recently went to the drgustore and picked up a couple of things. I haven't tried any of this stuff out yet except for the nail polish, it's the most AMAZING opaque nude shade ever. Super excited to try out a NYX product because I've never used this brand before. And I want to know, do you guys like posts like these?
It's been my second week back home and I'm still adjusting to everything again because, well, Korea and Australia is so fundamentally different. Total brain overload. My mum gifted me this beautiful journal that has a watercolour painting of native Banksia (a type of Australian flora) on the cover, it's absolutely beautiful. The silver trinket is also something that hasn't left my left wrist in awhile.
Source: my own Hello from Australia. I snagged these Oliver Peoples aviators at the duty-free shops on my way here, finally! I bought these after a three year wild goose chase for this particular model. It's apparently very elusive in Oz. Anyhow, I'm so happy that I got them! xx
I've been enjoying city life these last couple of weeks since I have a flight back to Australia at the end of this week. Since this will be a permanent move, I've spent the majority of my time away from the computer and instead hanging with friends, eating good food and wandering around the streets of Seoul. Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to: the Yeido Cherry Blossom Festival. A week later and all the trees are as green as can be. Korean traditional-style buildings in Insadong. At a Japanese teppanyaki in Hongdae. The line at my local Starbucks (peep at winter street style) At Harvest, in Namsan. My new favourite eating place. It's the cutest little restaurant where they grow their own natural herbs and flowers they use in their food. Ricotta cheese and roast pumpkin salad at Harvest. Trying out the latest department store ice-cream craze. Softree milk with honeycomb chips. My Pimm's cup at ELBONthetable in Itaewon. Cute white top I saw in Zara. Eyelet lace and embroidery is a big Spring trend in Seoul right now. Now on to packing my suitcase...
Source: my own A couple of days ago, I popped over to the Conrad Hotel with a girl friend to enjoy some Assam tea and scones. That's my late birthday prezzie in the background. I got a bottle of Creme de Corps. Lurrrrve it.
Source: my own These pictures don't do it justice but I did in fact get my hair dyed on the weekend. My hairdresser suggested a natural-looking "two-tone" dye job so now my middle-down-to-the-tips are a nice reddish chocolate brown. Not a true ombre though, I'm not keen on getting onto that bandwagon.
