The windows at Miss Louise boutique are literally jaw-dropping. I can only vouch for the windows because I've never actually been able to go in the store as it was always closed whenever I was on Collins St. I am a bit of a night roamer. The ladies (and/or men?) at Miss Louise have impeccable taste because I've never seen such a lovely group of shoes and accessories in my life. My pictures do no justice. You're going to have to go visit it in person yourself if you're unsatisfied.
I should say that I'd like to be sweating it out like the model in these pictures (Vogue Germany Feb '09) but it's getting so chilly here in Canberra that I'm getting crabby. Melbourne was absolutely wonderful by the way. We did have the spontaneous weather here and there but that was fully expected from the city. I'm busting to upload pictures but I've seemed to have misplaced the cord thingy that hooks up the camera so...I guess we're all waiting. Maybe you'd like to tell me what you got up to during Easter break (i.e. if you had one of course) by leaving a comment?
Hey people I hope you're having a good week! This is just a quick post to remind you that I am, yes, still alive. The hostel that I'm staying at has messed up computers all the time so even right now I'm writing this post at some random internet cafe on Swanston Street. My visit just happens to coincide with Melbourne International Comedy Festival so yesterday I watched the Tim Minchin show and saw some local stand-up comedy all night. Very funny. I think that my internet time is just about to finish. I just have to mention that the street graffiti in Melb. is maaaaad. If you ever come here you have to check it out.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I spent mine eating Mocha Hot Cross Buns (Baker's Delight ones are the best!), chocolate eggs and baking a huge batch of chocolate-chip and chocolate cookies. Wow, that's a lot of chocolate in one sentence and I don't feel the least bit guilty (haha). Today I'll probably spend the rest of the afternoon packing for my week-long trip to Melbourne! Woah whoo! I am so excited. Though I'm not excited about the fact that I have to cram all my stuff in a bag that cannot go over 7kg. I'll try to do some postings if I can but if I don't, you can imagine that I'm wandering Lygon St, Flinders Lane and Chapel St to visit one-of-a-kind Melbourne boutiques, stuffing myself with Italian pasta, roaming St. Kilda beach, drinking cocktails at some swanky bar for my friend's birthday....get the picture? Now I'm making you jealous. I'm leaving you with these super icy pictures of Mary-Kate Olsen for Interview Magazine (2009) to cool you down.
One of my favourite actors of all time. I really need to buy that Crybaby Girl t-shirt that I've seen on the likes of Amy Winehouse et al. If it's too embarrassing to wear in public there's always a backup plan. It can double up as nightwear. Sweet dreams.
Whether you like them or not it's undeniable that both Ashley and Mary-Kate have an unique take on what they like to wear. Although I admire both Olsen twins, it's Ashley's laid-back, androgynous closet that I covet the most. If I ever get stumped on deciding what sort of outfit I wish to procure on a particular day I randomly scan through my Ashley and Mary-Kate outfit pictures for some inspiration.
