Hey guys. Did you have a good New Years? I spent the New Years viewing the new Star Wars movie and stayed in on the 31st to watch The Walking Dead season six. Overall, a very chill way to start 2016.

The sort of look I'm into at the moment which is simple basics with an expensive coat or accessory. I call it ostentatious with an air of nonchalance.

Nowadays I'm more interested in flipping through interior magazines on furnishing houses and choosing the perfect throw rug than clothes and such. I love the vibrancy and character of this Brisbane family home. I believe this is what you call, Pinterest-worthy.

This past week I've been staying mostly inside, sipping Japanese green tea and lighting candles that I brought with me from Australia. In fact, I have one lit right now and the whole room is starting to smell like candied butterscotch. Mmmm...

As per usual, the sudden cold weather has totally thrown my skin into limbo and I'm being forced to re-evaluate my current stash of moisturizing creams. I may have to actually go outside today to buy some more.

Today we're having really crappy weather in Canberra so I will be drinking copious amounts of coffee and watching Sex and the City again. I'm halfway into season 4 at the moment but am starting to lose interest in the plot line...does it perk up soon?

P.S. And the Topshop Sydney store was just FABULOUS.

Nowadays I find myself popping into home decor shops at the mall probably because I'm back in my old room now with a proper bed and I want to spruce things up a bit. I have a new bedspread, sheets and now my eyes are wandering to other accessories like furry rugs, colourful throws and cushions. I'm also envisioning a (pink?) sheepskin strewn across the floor. I really like the minimalist decor featured in the images above, such fresh inspiration. How is your bedroom decorated?
