Clean lines.

To be honest with you, I'm not that into the whole normcore trend. In the summer, I usually wear a tanktop paired with some jeans, not even with flares or a particularly baggy style of pant, just good old plain skinnies. But the first picture has me converted. I'd wear that. BUT not with Birkenstocks, good gawd no. #sorrynotsorry

And that Chloe backless swimsuit is to die for.

packing for a summer beach vacay

Okay, an imaginary beach vacation since I'm still stuck in Seoul. Hapari kindly sent over a swimsuit in prep for the impending Summer so I sat down and put together a few things that I would take with me to a hypothetical tropical destination. A lot of sunscreen and samples beacuse who wants to lug all the heavy stuff to the waterside: Kiehl's Creme de corps body moisturizer, Innisfree camellia curling hair essence, Nuxe creme nirvanesque, Skin79 BB (it has SPF50 !), Avène creme emolliente, Coles sunscreen, Botanic Hill Boh moist youth ampoule essence, Petitzel mango jelly (girl's gotta snack), loud accessories and a stripey beach towel!!!

The style of the bikini is called the Mikado tie front string bikini, which I chose because of the criss-cross design in front that makes it a little different and more interesting than the average top. You can mix and match with different bottoms but I prefer good coverage so I went with the Mikado regular bottoms. I did have a bit of a postage issue but their customer service was excellent and the problem was quickly smoothed over. 

This is my first yellow-coloured bikini so I'm super excited to slip into this one! Now if only I had that plane ticket...

We've been having utterly miserable weather for the last two days. I mean, all it does is rain, rain, rain all day. I wanted to post this image before I go to bed because I really like the top that's featured...turns out it's a bikini top and therefore multipurpose!

My brain must be running in summer mode because all I see and all I seem to be looking for when I'm window shopping are bright n' colourful prints, tropical prints, rainbow-coloured flowers, birds of paradise...you get the picture. What I'm searching for is the perfect bustier or bandeau swim top that I can wear under a loose linen tank top. I stumbled upon this flouncy pink dress and this tropical bustier and it felt like I was running in the right direction. Smitten!

I finally moved out of my uni dormitory today. I thought I would feel the teeniest bit of sadness for leaving but a five-hour card key returns queue banished away those feelings completely. Just glad to get outta there. Next phase of life?
