All of this has made feel very ambivalent of his work, but then he goes and creates this wonderful navy ankle boot that is to die-for! It looks so simple from the front, but I love the idea that people may be gawping at the gold heel in the back. It’s so nice to stand out even with your back turned to everyone.

His shoes, not his bags
Pierre Hardy's summer 2007 collection has got me in a bit of a fix. I don’t know if I really, really like it or if I really, really don’t. I mean it is after all just his signature “him” again. The duffles don’t really inspire me; the two-tone leather piping thing is verging on the edge of being tacky if I have to be brutally honest and the cross hatching is a little bewildering (why does it remind me of mosquito netting?). However an exception would be some of his shoulder bags (I can’t help but like the black and white one below, it is afterall very cute) and definitely some of his shoes! He has a very wild thing going on with some of his designs but I’ve put up only two pictures of the less fancy ones that I happen to like. The bronze sandal looks likes it’s literally been molded from metal and I love the ankle strap on that chunky autumn-feel heel.

Lemon Meringue...
Canary yellow, lemon yellow, mustard yellow, buttercup yellow- you name it, this is the "it" colour this fall. If you look around, there's actually a lot of dresses out there in these various shades. At the moment I'm pining for the Nicola Finneti draped mini dress above. The flowing Versace, the shiny Sonia Rykiel number, nicely bound Preen dresses, clingy Valentino- wouldn't mind having all of these in my closet either...

Sue comma Bonnie
Owning a pair of Sue comma Bonnie shoes has been a fairly old fantasy of mine. The varied designs, vibrant colours, wild patterns and funky textures make each shoe a wearable masterpiece. No wonder they're readily found on the feet of Korean celebrities and get frequent coverage in all the upscale mags- Vogue Korea, W Korea- with other equally unique shoes such as Choi Jung In, The Shoe, Jinny Kim and g closet.
The price range is a tad high (2o-30man WON) but considering their beauty, quality and originality it's well worth investing in at least one pair....the problem is, WHICH one????!!!! Aren't they all lovely?
Click if you want to check out more of Bonnie Lee's creations.
I recently tried on a pair of absolutely gorgeous orange-red, 9cm gold-chunky heels with a matching gold-buckle on the ankle piece... but I couldn't buy them (meaning my conscience got the better of me) because it was too much to splurge on a pair sandals at that time and on a student budget... Perhaps another day in the near future? But I did manage to buy some white heels at another place at half the price of the wanted sue comma bonnies...hee hee
Check out those blue-yellow-brown peep-toes below.....o_0!!!

DIY: charm necklace
This is probably one of the easiest do-it-yourself projects that you'll ever come across. Go to your local craft store, a market, or dig around at home and when you discover a certain charm or trinket that you like- thread a leather cord, string, or ribbon (yellow, in my case) through it- voila! you have a new necklace to accessorise your outfit.

Floral prints
Not long ago, I stumbled upon a summertime bazaar that was held at the Lake Park near my home (apparently, it's an annual thing or something...). Apart from the usual
toys, children's books,
shoes, etc
and the gaggle of children and their families shouting at the top of their lungs to sell their goods, it was interesting to go there and take a good look. There really wasn't anything particularly good to buy, I tried on a pair of knee-high vintage leather boots but alas, they were too small! But I did manage to get this chiffon white, flower-print dress for 4,000 won. Like new, and very cool to wear in the hot summer.
Delicate florals are safe to wear but why not go for signature-bold prints too? These dresses would be perfect to pair with white heels or a pair of wedges...
