The world's most famous misfit??!

If you wander off to the local bookstore in Seoul, nowadays there are about a dozen magazines dedicated to fashion, beauty and style. Last month, Numero Korea (this month's issue has model Freja on the cover) was introduced to us ever-hungry magazine readers and now Nylon Korea has launched its first issue (September '08). Guess who they chose to be their covergirl? You betcha, Lindsay Lohan. The actual cover is a shot with her in a white t-shirt with Korean characters scrawled across it but here are some of the other pictures from the photo shoot. I think the overall editorial gives off a distinct Korean feel (I can't really put my finger on it and tell you what it is though). What do you think? Personally, I really liked the way her hair was styled.

A day's shopping in MyeongDong

Here is a picture of those very comfortable Mila Schon flats (3cm) which I said I bought on my LAST shopping trip (because the summer holidays are now definitely over)!!! They're actually a lovely, patent navy blue but you can't really see that in the above photo. Also, I couldn't resist not buying this handmade long chain necklace. I absolutely LOVE handmade goodies and accessories and I really fell for the vivid blue colour of the horse figurine. I think I'm really into blue and purple this fall, let's see how that'll play into my wardrobe when the weather gets chillier.

Quite possibly the most perfect tank-top

Since I've got only four more days left of summer holidays before starting second semester I've been living it up the past few days by spending more time outside than I should be spending inside cracking at the books. Bascially, I am shopping up a storm. A week ago I posted a pic about a certain loose, gray t-shirt that got a few people wondering where on earth did I purchase it? That would be at the "Hello apM" building in DongDaeMun. This building is one of my favorite hot-spots for some cheap shopping. I prefer this building to the "Doota" or "Miliore" shopping towers. It also has my favourite store called "Larne" that is located on the relatively new 8th floor of Hello apM.Yesterday, I went over there to purchase a certain black tank-top that I had been eye-ing for a while and it happened to be on sale so I bought it! I have a certain dilemma regarding tank-tops. I can never find the one with the right neckline or the right material, or it happens to be too tight so then I get the bigger size and then the armpits are too low....you get the picture? But this one finally seems to be the right one.

Double hit glory

Having been shopping-deprived for four weeks I literally jumped at the chance to spend some money with a trip to MyeongDong (명동). My heart skipped two beats when I saw the HUGE billboard sign saying that a Forever 21 and another Zara store will be opening in Sept '08 (that's next month folks!). It will be a MASSIVE store with F21 on the second floor right above Zara. Can you hear me sighing already? I'm such a simpleton when it comes to fashion.

Who said that socks and sandals never work?

Feeling quite nostalgic. Only five more days of patient waiting until I can sleep in my own room again. Daria Werbowy is my perfect stand-in for that yet-to-be fulfilled summer vacation that I have never gone to...in that perfect yellow bikini.

45 mosquito bites later....

and I feel like I want to destroy every winged insect in a 1 kilometre radius of myself. Currently in a daze.... both legs and an arm are literally on fire...staring at black and white images of model Julia Stegner only make me feel more zoned out...I am in the middle of nowhere after all.

Donkeys are cute

When I said I was going to be away for a month I must have given the impression that I was going on some sort of vacation but that was hardly the case. Two weeks ago I thought I was going to be in the middle of nowhere and living life dreading the lack of internet connection but that wasen't the case either. I am still stuck in a hole but I do have sporadic access to a computer so I will try to blog as often as I can during the remainder of the summer holidays. I'm feeling a little haggard these days so to brighten up my day and yours...
I'm finally posting pictures from the June '08 issue of Vogue Girl Korea. This is exactly why I love Vogue Girl, the disproportionate amounts of...colour, Colour, COLOUR!!!
