A year in fashion

I think the November issue of Harper's Bazaar UK pretty much sums up the past trends and fads of year 2008. You've probably seen these pictures hundreds of times by now but look at them again and see if you agree with me. Plaid, sequins, zippers, beanies, shaggy-carpet fur (that's what i call it), braids, Rodarte, leggings, stripes, PVC pants, excessive jewellery, chunky knits and a substantial amount of Alexander Wang (this year was totally Mr. Wang's year). I think that sixth picture clearly motivated me to buy these leg warmers.

The apple of my eye

I've been a little vampire-crazy ever since I was a little kid. So did I go and see the movie Twilight when it hit the big screen? Heck yeah. I thought that the on-screen chemistry between Edward and Bella was beautifully portrayed by Rob and Kristen. What are your thoughts? I thought I should post some sweet pics from the movie and then I find this picture. *Swoon*

If that's what lighting and different make-up and hair can do to a person, I wish everyday life was a photoshoot! :P

Red lips and red nails

I got a perm and I think it somewhat resembles the hair of this Cobrasnake chick. I have very bad luck with getting my hair done because the finished product hardly ever looks like what I've pre-imagined but this time I think it turned out okay.

Definitely a yummy Oscar de la Renta ad. I have a feeling that red nails will be back in trend next year which is a bit of a bother for me because I'm currently obsessed with painting my nails black. Can anyone tell me how to perfect the red-lip? Now that's one look I really, really wish I could pull off.

Les parfums

Wasen't at all expecting Christmas prezzies this year but look what I received. Clinique All About Eyes Rich (gotta get rid of those panda eyes, hehe) and...
a miniature Christian Dior perfume set (Miss Dior Cherie, Dolce Vita, J'adore, Midnight Poison, Dior Addict Shine). I'm so stoked!

Merry Christmas '08

SamCheongDong(삼청동) is one of my favourite places to go in Seoul it's full of quaint little art galleries, cafes and shops to fill the heart. Merry Christmas everyone! Make sure to surround yourself with loving family and friends, eat yummy things, listen to some glorious music and fill your eyes with gorgeous sights- life is too short.

I've feeling very down nowadays. I've caught a nasty cold, my grades are not up to scratch and my great-grandma just passed away yesterday so I'm feeling very sad and depressed. Grief does not seem to go away. Watching American dramas (season two of Gossip Girl) does distract me for a little while but nothing seems to cheer me up. I'll be back in a couple of days. In a pickle

I can be pretty fickle-minded when it comes to the weather. When it's summer I think about toasting marshmallows, drinking hot chocolate, buying booties and layering up from head top to down but in the winter I start dreaming about the beach, a cool breeze, ice cream and wearing miniskirts (yes, I do). This is kind of how I'm feeling right now. My absolute favourite place in the world is beachside and how lovely would it be to dance around in the water in a Zimmermann bikini. True Aussie style.I'm sooo getting one of these when I go to down to Australia next month!

So sleepy

I took my last exam today! Finally winter holidays, yay! Check out those peepers on Victoria's Secret model Lindsay Ellingson.
Keep yourselves busy because now I'm going to close my peepers and I'm definitely off to bed for a long time.

She totally revived my love for orange after wearing that Elizabeth & James dress. Paired with those Loubis- divine.

I absolutely LOVE everything about the first dress. The peach colour. The sheerness. It's probably going to feel amazingly soft too. Hopefully I can go and try it on the next time I visit Jill Stuart.

Check out the new print/online campaign for Gossip Girl.I'm only posting these because I'm currently infatuated with Leighton Meester. I watched all of Season One last Friday night. Queen B's clothes and accessories are truly to swoon for! Don't you agree? Season Two will have to be saved for the holidays, I've got too many exams until the end of semester. But please, keep me updated!
