heatwave

I can't believe that I've been in Australia for nearly fifteen days now. The weather is extremely hot due to the heatwave we have going on at the moment. Sympathy for the Adelaide and Melb folks people...47 degrees just sounds nasty. Staying outside for more than five minutes is begging for skin cancer. On a lighter note. I'm finally posting some pics of a copy of Vogue Nippon which I managed to buy while I was stopping over at Narita Airport in Japan. Looking at the mag "backwards" was a delight even though I don't read a word of Japanese but visually, it sure didn't disappoint.

My signature look

Starbucks has their Signature Hot Chocolate (which is very yummy btw). Mine is a blazer, shirt (sometimes collared), belted slim-fitting jeans and heels. Just thought you wanted to know. What's your signature look?

Gucci SS 09

Safari, psychadelic tropical prints, boyish suits and a military-cargo, beachy-marine infused look all in one collection. I really, really want a Gucci fedora!!! It's very hot over here but I have to say that I am truly enjoying hot Australian weather.

Carmen on the beach (and Daria!)

in flashy pants and the perfect beach hair. My title sounds like the name of a cocktail, haha. Does anyone know how you can you get beach hair without going to the beach? Without an army of hair stylists of course. I'm dying to know. By the one-and-only Paris Vogue (June '07), who else?!

French Twists

The only way I can describe the works of Annie Leibovitz are: still captures of a story through a lens. I love material like this. Then of course if it's anything at all French, I'm bound to love it anyways so no matter. Last century French and then you'll have me literally squealing in delight. One thing I would like to mention is that Coco Rocha should have been in this shoot instead of Gisele.

Breaking Dawn

is done and done. I cannot believe I raced through all those Twilight books these past few days. Can you tell that I'm totally besotted with this vampire business? I was reading the books while listening to the Twlight movie soundtrack. That Rob Pattinson is one heck of a crooner. Does anyone agree that "Never Think" is a definite swooner? *swoons again*

Touchdown in Oz

Hey there! I'm back after a 150 minute flight from Seoul to Tokyo- a 3 hour transit wait at Narita airport- from Tokyo to Sydney on a 9hour 40 minute flight- another 3 hour bus ride from Sydney to Canberra and about 12 hours of sleep later here I am. It is sooooooooo hot here in Australia I just came from minus twelve in Seoul and it was 34 degrees celsius today. I am sweating as I am writing this. Geez, all I can think about is getting down to the beach and all I am doing right now is relaxing, eating a lot of mom's cooking (very good) and reading all four Twlight books (I'm on "Eclipse" at the moment). Speaking of the beach I would really like to get my hands on this particular Zimmermann bikini. These frills are adorable. To see more Zimmermann goodness check out my other post. It's so great to be back.

Packing and more packing

I hope you guys had a lovely weekend. I spent mine in Daegu (대구) to visit the grandparents and I ended up watching A LOT of movies including "Mamma Mia" which I saw for the 2nd time, gosh, I wish my hair was long, wavy and blonde...A couple of days ago I went out with a friend to have some French at "A priori te" in SinsaDong (신사동) which involved a lot of cheese fondue and pasta but today I spent the whole day packing because I leave for Australia on Tuesday. I can't wait to go to the beach, sleep in my own bed and eat as many popsicles until my tongue gets numb!!! I'm so sick of this cold, it was minus 11 in Seoul today!

I was tagged

by Nil from Eyes of Me to:
1. Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your pictures.
2. Pick the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same!

Well first of all, since I recently got Lily (my laptop) I don't have many photos in my picture folders just yet but a little roaming around and the fourth picture turns out to be this.

When I was a kid I used to collect little figurines of animals, houses, cars, you name it. A stroll in SamCheongDong (삼청동) last summer led me to this street stall selling some very cute canines and felines. I was deciding on whether or not I should get the kitty cat in the middle (for some reason it just stood out like a lightbulb) but I snapped a photo and just left. I wish I had gotten it. Maybe it'll be there when I go back next year.

Leighton Meester or Blair Waldorf

Which name do you like better? Queen B backstage at her Teen Vogue shoot. I'm afraid she has been immortalized as her GG character. Can't get her out of my head.
