(500) Days of Summer

What I did on the weekend: bused to Sydney for just the one day with my mom and had lunch looking over the waters of Darling Harbour, did some major retail therapy, painted my nails blood-red and saw (500) Days of Summer.

Definitely my most FAVOURITE movie of the year.

I don't want to spoil anything but

I can't believe I'm typing this in words (here I am gushing like a love-struck teen) but I literally melt when I see Joseph Gordon-Levitt smiling. He has the cutest smile ever. It doesn't help that he has an equally cute wardrobe as Zooey Deschanel...

Carlos Miele Spring 2010

The Carlos Miele collection was one that I really enjoyed at this year's NYFW. As much as I really like the boyish-appeal of most clothes I quite like to embody the feminine look from time to time so I loved how these looks were so wearable yet terribly flirty.

Some of the other collections I really enjoyed were: Alexander Wang, Yigal Azrouël, Charlotte Ronson, Diane von Furstenberg, Phi, Rag &Bone, Ralph Lauren and Vena Cava.

the Bilson way

I am a huge fan of Rachel Bilson's clothing choices so I dribble hopelessly over new paparazzi candids when they come up on tFS. Sometimes I wish that her red carpet appearances were more up to her everyday style though. For example, the dress she wore to the Costume Institute Gala was pretty but truth be told, I was more hyped up about her hair. Those red pants on the other hand are just impeccable especially with those Louboutins.

It seems that she's very much a no-show at NYFW this year so I'm very disappointed. Bummer.

I've been checking up on the collections at NYFW as they come up on style.com and I'm absolutely loving Rag & Bone and Charlotte Ronson but was a little disappointed with the Erin Wasson x RVCA collection. What shows have you liked so far?

I absolutely adore LOVER the label.

It's Aussie, they make lovely cossies, one half of the team is Asian- go Susien Chong! and the clothes are quirky.

The only way to fully appreciate Australian beaches is to visit when hardly anyone is there. That would be during the non-peak season which I know is really hard to do but that's the reality- it's hard to appreciate the vastness of the ocean when it's swarming with people in bathers.
Fish and chips on the beach. Ultimate way to spend the afternoon.
Was pure bliss.
