This particular pic is totally refreshing my outlook on sweaty, summer days in Seoul- it must have something to do with the ice-blue backdrop. Anyhow the outfit is so cool for summer!

Still licking my wounds from Uruguay's World Cup win over Korea yesterday night. It was a well fought match (2-1) which made it even harder to let go.

Ceci Cela is a Belgian cafe located right across the road from the Hermes flagship store near Dosan Park. I think that's the easiest way to pinpoint the location because it was quite a walk from the nearest subway station. Anyhow, I made my way over through the stinking heat (it's HOT in Seoul right now) to try their famous carrot cake and boy, it didn't disappoint. I had a really hard time finishing since the slice was just massive.

I finally got around to dyeing my hair today!!! It's now officially a dark, dark brown colour because I was totally sick of my uneven bleached-out hair.

Scooting off to watch reruns of the Korea vs Nigeria World Cup match (I recorded it). Super happy that Korea is advancing to the knock-out stage but am sad that Australia can't join as well.

I saw Knight and Day today but didn't really understand the "day" reference in the title. I seriously thought that Cameron Diaz's character's last name would be "Day" since Tom Cruise's character was "Knight" but it wasen't. Anyhow the movie itself was totally ridiculous but I think I fell in love with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise just a smidgen more.
Cameron has such an infectious smile.

Still recovering from Thursday's soccer between Korea and Argentina. Just crushing. I went to see the game at COEX with the rest of Seoul in the summer heat and it was just SO hard.
But that's okay! We can do better in the next match.
Does anyone want to reflect on any memorable World Cup matches?

Sinsa dong ga-reou su-gil (신사동 가로수 길)

Yesterday I visited the shopping/cafe area near Sinsa subway station (line 3) since I hadn't been there at all for about two years. I ended up buying a cute, green checkered crop-top at 103, drooled over the shoes at Helena & Kristie and SuecommaBonnie and basically popped into every clothes shop on that long stretch of street. You seriously have to check it out if you ever come to Seoul. They have the best vintage stores hidden in the most secluded places and mostly in basements. The clothes are a little over-priced because that whole area ApGuJung-Sinsa-GangNam is rolling in the dough. I really didn't understand the necessity of valet parking though I mean seriously, in Seoul? where the streets are so narrow? Just that fact alone is making me not want to visit again considering I almost got run over by multiple Benzs.









Oh, and my vintage earrings came in the mail yesterday!

holy crap

I think I just had a fit for about ten minutes when I accidently changed the layout template of my blog permanently to something quite horrendous. Considering that I am quite computer-illiterate (sorry I still can't read HTML at all) I nearly died when I found out what I did (don't press' update your template' on blogger!!!) and was quite panicked when I lost all my features like my precious links to you guys.
I'm going to go chillax now and get something to eat and not touch the computer for at least a day.

2010 CDFA Fashion Awards

Here are the promised pictures you guys. MK and Ash are obviously wearing their line, The Row with a heap of vintage Van Cleef & Arpels and Fred Leighton and as usual their bling doesn't disappoint. Personally my mom and I have become really obssessed with vintage jewellery over the past year & a half or so. There's so much joy when you find the most beautiful, one-of-a-kind right piece for yourself. A couple of days ago I clicked over a pair of gorgeous clip-on earrings (the joys of internet shopping during test week!). Hopefully they'll be coming over next week, I've been checking my mailbox at least twice a day!

Anyone keeping tabs on the World Cup? I know this blog is not at all sports-related but bear with me if I end up commenting here and there about soccer. You're looking at the blog of a huge soccer fan. Yesterday I took my last exam for this semester so now it's officially summmmmer!!!! Still ended up watching the Korea vs Greece and Argentina vs Nigeria game on lack of sleep.
Korea won 2-0 yesterday!!! Whoop whoop!
