Part 2: Insadong(인사동) & Ssamzie Market
Part two of my trek to Insadong during the summer holidays. Do you know that it dropped about ten degrees in the last two days???! I'm in a state of panic-it's suddenly much too cold to do anything outside. Only one good outcome can come of this- a shopping excuse for winter clothes and the fact that I can now wear boots (whoop!). Oops. That's two.

Part 1: Insadong(인사동) & Ssamzie Market
Insadong, one of Seoul's must-see tourist hotspots, on a midsummer's day. I love walking around here aimlessly and getting lost in all the art. Random reasons why you should come: to visit the lovely traditional teahouses, wondering around in art galleries, visit Ssamzie Market for hand-crafted goods to fulfill the needs of even the littlest of D.I.Y maniacs, stocking up on the usual souvenir goods, to see the Insadong Starbucks- tis the only Starbucks in Korea to feature the store name in Korean.

On the make-up front
Nowadays, whenever I visit the department store I make up my mind to visit the cosmetics section to see what sort of things I need to stock up on because I'm always missing something like a blush or eyeshadow. I'm a huge fan of the smoky-eye but I'm unsure as to whether it's a look that works for me. Figures then, that I had to leave the Lancome counter with this.
Missha Moist 24 Hand Cream Cacao butter 10%- any reason not to get anything that smells like chocolate?
Missha Super Aqua pore clarifying toner- I need a toner of some kind to literally unplug my pores
Mini Lip palette and Cleansing oil were freebies.
Lancome Ombre Absolue Duo in Divine Hold
(Invest in a good eyeshadow- the powder is so fine and applies smoothly!)
For my other needs, I turn to cheaper brands such as The Face Shop, Skin Food and Missha.Missha Provice Cuti-protect Hair Essence- for that healthy, glossy sheen. It also smells great!(Invest in a good eyeshadow- the powder is so fine and applies smoothly!)

Last week's haul
It's not even monsoon season and we're having torrential rain today. I have to go out tonight and I hate to get my shoes wet so.
Let me tell you the names of some of the stores that I go to when I shop at MyeongDong (명동) and, um yes, they have some crazy titles. I finally bought a floral print skirt! You know that I was never going to get one of those tiered, Luella-esque ones but I thought this one would be alright for chillier weather....
Green floral skirt from: Walnut (호두) , Black handbag from: Bossac, Checked-print backpack: streetvendor, Black gypsy-style shirt: Nude (누드)

Can you say awwwwwww
I'm back! Surprisingly I did not stuff myself (with food) as much as I did last year....no traffic as I took the train so it was a good-but short-two days in Daegu. I'm back to slaving away with work and classes but before I go and do something a little more academically productive...I promised that I would give a shout out to my friend Danielle. I had no idea that she was a designer! She specializes in children's wear and men's screen print tees. Check out her Etsy site for some rad shirts, guys. When are you going to make a women's line, Danielle?
I am totally swooning over the cuteness of her Senior Collection. How adorable are the clothes?!!! Check out more of her designs at DaniLiz Children.
p.s I want that red jersey cardigan!!! :P

Happy Chuseok(추석)
It's that time of year again...already? Korean Thanksgiving is right around the corner so that means I'm off on my bi-annual trip to the city of Daegu to visit all the distant relatives. I'm leaving you with a pic snapped by The Sart, this French girl happens to be wearing an outfit that I happen to wear often (I usually have my navy blazer hanging around). She totally stole my shorts! :P See you in a few!

CheongGyeCheon (청계천)
The CheongGye stream in downtown Seoul on a hot summer's day. I'm patiently waiting for an Autumn breeze (and yes, those are my feet and the water is clean).
