Ashley Olsen in the September '09 issue of Marie Claire and the pictures are just glorious. I love how they use antique furniture in photo shoots like these. It just brings it up a notch and makes the whole thing even better.
The interview is well worth the read as well.

Just bought a black French Connection studded handbag on sale. It has less studs than I'd like of course but it's the right size and I can fit heaps of things in it so I'm really happy.

I absolutely adore flowers. I'd buy them all the time if they weren't so expensive and they wouldn't die so quickly.But seriously how cool is this ed! We all deserve a few hours in a nice hot tub full of fresh rose petals. Heck, make your bathtub a flower vase if need be. At least your bathroom will smell nice temporarily.

Ambition to Create Novel Expressions

Remember how I said I was dribbling over certain ACNE clothes (look at post down way below). Well that would be all this lovely stuff right here.

I also remember back in the day when I was flummoxed as to why anybody would name a label after a facial manifestation but after finding out the real acronym and a big "...ahhhhh..." of understanding, obviously my scoffing days were over.

This editorial reminds me of the time a few months back when Rodarte was all the rage. I must have deleted the part about having ligers (hybrid cross between male lion and tigress) or tions (male tiger, lioness) at pyjama parties from my memory though. But by all means, bring them back into vogue again! They're so cute!

I was still in my hazelnut craving period when I was up in Sydney so during my wonderings inside the Queen Victoria building I came across these caramel-covered confections which I promptly bought and munched upon while shopping around. This was, of course, before discovering the Haigh's chocolate store and buying a bag of them covered in milk chocolate.
You can never have enough chocolate, people.

LORICK

Here are some scrumptious images I've capped off the Lorick site to share with you all. I'm hoping that Abigail Lorick, the designer, won't mind since I'm shamelessly besotted with all her clothes. I'm sure by now all of you are aquainted with Lorick New York (the brand) because it has been seen everywhere on the Gossip Girl show as the Eleanor Waldorf Collection (i.e. Blair's mom's desgins). I have to admit I was immediately googling about the origin of the clothes after I saw these fantastic blue and orange backless dresses worn by Blair and Serena repectively. The belt is just perfection.I think her clothes give off such a girly, flirty, New York chicness vibe which every girl wants some piece of. After all, who doesn't want a huge chunk out of the Big Apple. Pun intended.

I absolutely adore flowers. In my fantasy world I would wear them fresh in my hair everyday....but it's hard to look adorable and not totally cuckoo at the same time. I think flower headbands are the way to go and in this case, Isabel Lucas looks lovely.

Lately I happen to be watching a lot of movies with Johnny Depp in them (Sweeney Todd!) and that got me thinking about the new Tim Burton directed Alice in Wonderland movie coming out next year. After a bit of google-ing and seeing some fabulous screen visuals I've convinced myself it could well be the best movie of 2010. I can't wait to see it!
