it snowed today! yay!
I went to Myeong-dong (명동) today to check out the Jil Sander +J collection for Uniqlo but it was quite disappointing (obviously not the Jil Sander sort of collection I had in mind) so I came out empty handed. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts?

I was web-surfing the other day for hair styles and I came across these pics of model Ali Stephens for Ralph Lauren S/S 2009. I want my hair like this- soft, wavy and feminine. At the moment my hair texture is sort of like Natasha Poly's. Not that there's anything wrong with her hair but I just want mine super sleek right now!
Just to make it clear, I adore Natasha Poly! She's a fab model!

give not take
This year I didn't feel the need for receiving Christmas presents so I deliberately told my family that I didn't want anything (call me weird but this year I felt like giving more...). However to my surprise, I did get a lovely homemade candle from a friend which I've currently lit up and dimmed the lights. It smells just heavenly (a mix of strawberry & aroma oils).

Catty Cartier
It is afterall Christmas and I do want to post something Christmas-y with a colour scheme and everything. So here are some pictures from Cartier's current 'Les Must' collection. Whenever I pass a Cartier store I end up baby-talking through the window like a mad woman when I see the face of this baby panther cub! It's very naughty advertising. Just like using a shirtless Taylor, WendyB! and I can't help it, it's just sooooooooooooooooooooo adorable.Source
Merry Christmas lovelies!
I hope you get all the things your heart desires!

MK leaving her apartment in NYC 21/12/09

It's hard to critique Mary-Kate's outfit. It's more about how she doesn't give a crap about what people think and admiring her for that than saying this doesn't match with this or those glasses are so over done. Although she does look a little cold. I'd be wearing a parka in that sort of weather. Tee hee.

MORNING BEAUTY
Model Doutzen Kroes by Philip Riches.
Source: FashionGoneRogue
Doutzen is drop-dead gorgeous. I probably wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had a face like that AND a body to match!
Models are unbelievable creatures just look at her body proportions, I'm so jealous! What's a girl to do?

my sunshine
When I manage to grab a copy of Paris Vogue and this happens very rarely, I love to go through the EN VOGUE spreads that Melanie Huynh is in charge of. If you still don't know who Melanie is then you need to look two posts below right now (but I'm sure you do)! This spread happens to be from the June/July '07 issue but every single time she manages to group together the loveliest accessories on the planet- shoes, bags, watches, jewellery galore- and style the most appropriate and correlated photoshoot. Not at all affordable to the everyday woman but a girl can dream right?

My favourite look is the striped Anna Molinari sweater dress worn with flats. I'm sure the overall effect will be different when I emulate this look but as one of my motto's happens to be 'look and learn' I plan to try this out with my purple patent brogues. What's you favourite look and what pages of your French Vogue get the most creases?

Hilary Duff 4 Nylon Jan 2010

I love how Hilary's gotten so much more curvier.
I had a sushi night the other day and saw AVATAR.
I do believe that James Cameron is a genius, a total must see!

dream team
A couple of years back, I fell head-over-heels in love with Melanie Huynh (assistant stylist at Paris Vogue) when I saw this picture of her taken by The Sartorialist.
Correction.
At first, I think I fell in love with her pink Miu Miu pumps.

Beetle and Flor
Recently I was introduced to Beetle and Flor, a Brooklyn based line specialising in casting porcelain skulls of wild animals. Some of them come with 18K gold teeth which I think gives a stark contrast to the whiteness of the skull.
You can see for yourself below, they're pretty much INCREDIBLE!
Top to bottom: porcelain jaw pendant necklace, raccoon skull, snapping turtle, another jaw pendant necklace and beaver skull.I have a huge animal obssession so bones and the anatomy of animals intrigue me. I love the beaver skull the best and I certainly wouldn't mind having one sitting on my coffee table lying next to a candy bowl. Check out their Etsy store for more details.

Miranda Kerr for the Jan 2010 issue of US Marie Claire. Shot by Keiron O'Connor and styled by Zanna Rassi.

Miranda has the beach babe look down pat.
It helps that she's an Aussie of course because the beach is in our genes.
Her hair is to die for! Speaking of hair...I got a perm a last week and all the curls have come undone already. Plus it's so dry it feels like it's dying. Bugger.

Carmen Kass.
I absolutely adore her face. She's one of many on my list of fave models. I have pics of my ultimate FAVOURITE model on my computer somewhere...

Ninjas
Kirsten Dunst looks absolutely divine in this particular shoot wearing just a simple white dress. I love all of Kirsten's movies- Jumanji was a huge favourite of mine! And I adore her laid-back, don't-give-a-darn fashion sense.

Yesterday I drank copious amounts of Smoothie King and watched 'Ninja Assassin' after Aimee mentioned something about it on her blog which I thought was okay (a bit bloody but we humans have a lot of blood) considering it was an Hollywood martial arts movie.
Now I'm off to Daegu to see the grandparents! Bye for a bit!

NO i don't want any icecream
I've arrived in Seoul! It's great to be back but it's so freaking cold here. Coming from a sunny 29 degree summer to windy -5 does make one a bit grumpy but it's hard to be down in the dumps when there is so much to do, to see and to eat! All I have to do now is swather myself in layers of clothing like a mummy and pop down to the local Starbucks to warm my fingers + tummy. A whole day of wandering around and familiarising myself with the city awaits (plus some keen window shopping)!

Guess whose legs belong to these famous bodies?
Totally rad accessories.
It's all about accessorizing well right now, I'm kind of sick of clothes.

australianbeauty
It's high time I did a beauty post of some sort. If someone were to ask me what part of my body I like the most I always reply- my skin! Many people ask me what sort of things I do to my skin to keep it so fresh and unblemished but I don't usually tell them. There are two reasons why; I change my products all the time so it would never be consistent telling them the one thing and secondly because it's my secret.
Now that I'm packing like crazy for tomorrow's flight I've been stocking up on a few things that I might have difficulty finding in Korea. Here are some things I've bought and received as gifts.
Clockwise from left:
Invisible Zinc Face+Body Sunscreen SPF 30+ : It's good because it blocks UVA and UVB rays!
Clarins Extra Firming Concentrate (Serum Tenseur Raffermissant): Smells really good and feels great on the face- very gel-like.
Calvin Klein Euphoria EDP: A new scent for the new year.
Natio Daily Protection Face Moisturiser SPF 15: It's Australian made. I currently use their sheer foundation as well. Because Natio is an aromatherapy brand their products smell very herb-like and organic but I find the smell less potent than Jurlique products so I like it.
Emu Oil Moisturising Cream by Australian Creams: A whole tub for only $2.75! Couldn't pass it up.
Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm 100% Natural: I am a crazy lip balm person and I like organic stuff for my lips. It took a while getting used to the honey smell though.

I AM ME
I'm feeling very uninspired as to what to post nowadays so here is a picture of what I was wearing the other day. It features the super duper easy DIY cutoffs that I made a month ago (still wearing!) and a gold sparkly cropped jacket from Valleygirl- bought on a whim when I had a crazy sequin phase. The shorts are in my closet but the rest of my summer clothes are in a box circling the globe as of this moment. I'll be going back to Korea (it's winter over there!) soon after a lovely year back in Oz (Canberra!).
I'm enjoying life, food and family while counting down the days again.
